My name is Richard Flook

When I was twelve years old I lost my mother to metastasized breast cancer. This started me off on a quest to find out why did one of the most important people in my life die from such a horrible disease, when she had some of the best care available on the planet.

Every day I would read the newspaper, listen to the radio, watch the evening news hoping the promise of modern medicine would allow me to complete my quest and find out why she died and find a cure. Every other week a breakthrough would be announced and I would rest. Only to find another answer was found and that the previous solution was flawed. I would watch documentaries on disease that would research miracle cures, only to discover later on how these therapies did not work. After many years of searching I have given up waiting for modern medicine’s solutions – it seems modern is the wrong word for this type of medicine because for many diseases the treatments have not changed for decades.

The most obvious one is the treatment of cancer. They use the same therapy as they did 60 years ago, the present day drugs are just stronger with more side effects and a lot more expensive, the machines are the same, just they can target areas more effectively and are computer controlled. The surgical answer is the same, just the knives have got sharper and the cutting more precise. But people are still dying the same horrible death as my mother did 35 years earlier. The survival rates are not better for cancer even though trillions upon trillions have been spent on finding a cure.

Intuitively I did think there was a link between my mother’s divorce and the separation from me and my brothers had something to do with her death. I remember the day when she left so vividly, if it was etched in my memory and my brothers’ so vividly; I ask the question what did it do to her to leave 3 young boys, aged four, six and seven? I have a 2 year old son now. To leave him would destroy me. To leave three of your boys would kill you. And kill her it did.

As I grew up I worked in the family wine business. I traveled the world buying wine and shipping it to sell in our 20 retail off licenses and also to wholesale the wine nationally in the UK. I was good at my job and I knew my wines extremely well. But my quest was till burning in my mind and it took me down a different path. Through challenging circumstances I lost everything, my job and career, my future wife, my apartment in a lovely area of Bristol, my car, literally everything.

I then came across Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and through that work I came across some theories that scientifically and medically linked specific stressful events to certain diseases. There it was right in front of me the cause of my mothers breast cancer. A brutal separation conflict from loved ones; usually children. Her divorce and separation from me and my two brothers, ‘her three young boys’ was obviously the reason. I wanted to learn more but all of this information was in German. It took another 10 years before I got my answer. And in 2004 I came across Johannes Fisslinger, a native German, living in the USA who had studied this material and who was setting up the International META-Medicine Association (IMMA) to teach it worldwide. Finally I could learn this information and become part of the team to spread its teaching on the international stage.

Now six years on the material is not the same. I have personally brought the material up-to-date, so you can understand and utilise the information yourself, making it possible to integrate all this information so you can find true solutions to your health problems by empowering yourself and working alongside your medical practitioners. For me it is about education. Teaching how an integrative approach that combines traditional medicine, complementary, alternative and energetic approaches to healing ourselves.
